Join us for the Summer Writers Club 2014! You can write 500 words a day for a grand total of 50K at the end of the summer, or sign up for a "half," committing to 250 words a day totaling 25K. We'll cheer each other on!

Have a new project I'm working on, so 500 words a day sounds good to me. 
Edit... will be CampNaNo-ing this in July as well, so June will be mostly planning. So probably won't have any sort of word counts to post until a bit later (but still should hit 50K at least, by the end).

Not sure I have a full 50k left to write, but I could definitely use the kick in the pants...and kids will be in Summer Camp!!!!! (*ahem* I'm a tad excited about this).
I'll pledge 500 a day until the story's done. After that, there's a lot of revising to do on about three stories, so...

I'm in for 500 words per day, with the goal of finishing my science fiction action adventure piece that's been lying around in various pieces for about four years. This year's the year!
Best of luck to everyone who commits to this; it's fun and challenging and best of all it gets you past the demons of self doubt.

I am working on my novel this summer, which I will be using as my thesis project in my MFA program. I'm aiming for 250 words per day, but hope to push it to 500 eventually!

I really need this... my work schedule is about to get crazy and I am worried about it deterring my writing. I am game for 250 words a day. When things start to calm down for me in July, I’ll try to rev up to 500.

Hi everyone! I've been long absent from Book Country, but I just graduated two days ago, so I hope there'll be lots more time to write this summer. I'm going for the 500 a day (maybe more). I might as well get involved and write either 500 or 250 a day depends on how I'm feeling and if I have the time, as I don't know when I'm going to get another shift from my 28 hour a week job, but I may go quite during July as I have also pledge to participate in Camp nano. I'm not good at sticking with writing, but I need to do this. I thought I should ease in with 250 words a day...and then, the remarkable happened: 795 on day one during little guy's afternoon nap. BAM!

I am looking forward to this challenge. I have become too complacent! I wrote my first 250 last night and then some. It is most likely crap but it felt good to write something other than comments on a student's paper.
