Does anyone else on Book Country read the Maisie Dobbs historical mystery series? I am on #5 and I am head over heels in love with these books!
I would LOVE it if someone on BC was writing a similar type of historical mystery with a strong female lead . . . quickly becoming one of my fave genres!

Have you read the Daisy Dalrymple series by Carolla Dunn? They are good fun.

I just discovered this series after watching the Miss Fisher mysteries on PBS and I love the books. There are 20 novels. The setting is Australia in 1928. Great female MC - flapper, aviatrice, wing-walker, detective and unabashed feminist.

@Valerie: Very cool! I will check those out. I'd seen a few minutes of the show on Netflix but hadn't realized it was based on these books!

My wife and I love Miss Fisher as well--books and TV shows both.
