Yesterday marked the passing of one of my personal literary inspirations as well as a Canadian literary legend.  Farley Mowat died a week before his 93rd birthday in Ontario on May 6th, 2014.  His books have inspired me to keep writing and taught great lessons in how ordinary life events can be woven into enthralling tales.  His works were some of my first Canadian reads and makes this Canuck proud, as controversial as some of them work.
