New user here, evidently; I registered a few days ago, but haven't been very active yet.
I'm Yzabel, writing from one weird little country on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean (read: France). Members in a group I'm part of on Facebook have mentioned BookCountry quite a few times already, and I thought I might as well check it out.
I write both in French and in English, and am doing my best to improve my craft in both languages. (I know. Call me crazy.) At the moment, I mainly write urban fantasy; my other favourite genres in that regard are fantasy and science-fiction, only I can't work on everything at once.
I haven't got to properly critique and comment anything here yet, but I'm looking forward to finding stories, meeting fellow writers, and partaking in discussions on the boards.

Dear Yzabel,
Hello from across the ocean! Welcome to Book Country!
There are a lot of urban fantasy writers on the site. Here's a link to the fantasy forums, in case you haven't found them yet: https://www.bookcountry.com/community/topic.aspx?id=1.
Nevena Georgieva, Book Country's assistant, wrote this beginner's guide that you may find helpful: https://www.bookcountry.com/Industry/Article.aspx?articleId=139379.
Good luck with your writing! Please let me know if you need anything. I can be found here, on Twitter @brandilarsen, or via email at brandi at bookcountry dot com.
Best, Brandi Book Country Director
