So, when I first found Book Country I posted under one name, and now I've decided to change to this new, better, and more exciting name! (Or more anonymous and yet hopefully easier to remember name. Is that possible?)
The bummer is, I'm losing all the reviews and comments I made before and am essentially starting all over.
I'm doing a lot of work to the romance novel I originally had offered here and have uploaded something different in the meantime. I think some of you will figure out who I am when I re-upload the other one.
So, have any of you done this, too? Why did you decide to make the switch? Did you find it beneficial in the long run, or wish you'd just stuck to your original moniker?

Thanks for the bump, Colleen! Apparently I'm the only one crazy enough to try such a feat.

Well, as you said, starting a new account with a new screen name means you lose all your accumulated work and karma. I think most of our members are reluctant to do that. Seems a shame to put in all that effort just to lose it all.

Yeah, I debated the change as well for those same reasons. But now that it's been a little while and I've built up new karma, I'm glad to have the other name out there and can attach it to my website, etc.

I had no idea this is not your real name, Ella! I really like it, though. It sounds quite authorial

Thanks, Nevena. There were quite a few I tried before I came up with Ella Black. Unfortunately, most of the ones I googled were already taken... by-- ahem-- "adult entertainers". Not exactly what I had in mind! Glad this one sounds authorial!
