I've been on Book Country for a few months and am extremely impressed by the talent and activity level of many of its members. I feel like such a slacker! Actually, I had pretty much put all creative writing aside for quite a number of years (after editing/writing STM material all day, I didn't much feel like writing during my free time). Fortunately, I used a 6-month period between jobs to dig out what is now called "A Kaliphian Matter" and devote a great deal of time to it. I finished the first draft of the story, then began the extensive editing work needed to split it into three separate books. Now in the re-editing and polishing stage and hope to get some wonderful feedback from the folks here.
