The new website http://www.criminalelement.com is all about crime fiction for fans, not for writers. (Full disclosure: I blog there on occasion and am one of several who work behind the FB and Twitter names). It has all kinds of interesting stuff like exclusive excerpts, examinations of crime on TV, in books, and in real life, and, in general, everything for the crime fiction fan.
But I am also interested in the possibility of the site being a market for short stories. (Nope, don't know how to submit there...if I let interested folks know!) It seems to me the vast majority of online sites focus on hard-boiled or noir crime fiction. Since the site just launched today, it's impossible to tell what will happen in the future, but I am wondering whether anyone here knows other online markets for softer short crime stories?
