The 2015 Writer's Digest Contest is still open. I think it closes in June. They have many different categories you can submit to. I submitted a play last year and won 8th place, for which I won a year's subscription to Writer's Digest. The only downside is the cost--at least for me. This year I am submitting a short story and 3 sonnets--$60 total, and that's the "early bird special"!

I've also discovered a contest (free of charge) at www.BarbaraKyle.com. She is offering a free manuscript evaluation to the winner. I figure there's nothing to loose--no fee, so I'm thinking about entering.
