Hi all, I'm new to this site so forgive me if I seem a little lost. I'll just stand in a dark corner, stir my drink nervously and take in the room.
I've just completed my first serious attempt at a novel, Rapture Express. This book features Jack McGreggor, a 10 year old who wants to see a forbidden KISS concert against his culture warrior parents' wishes. It's set in 1976-77 and is partially based on my own conservative Christian upbringing. I'll post a few sample chapters once I've settled in.
I've self published a short book of essays an short stories called Farting in Church. People love that title for some reason. I blog on various topics at http://barelyok.com.
I've begun a second Middle Grade novel which doesn't merit discussion yet. I'll let in on it once it's presentable. (BTW: Could a YA Genre be added to this site?)
