I'd like to discuss the reality of today's men. How is it possible for any man to pretend to be a straight man and want a family. But the man never comes out clean about his sexuality.

Dear Mariame,
Welcome to Book Country! I noticed you're new -- Book Country's fabulous assistant, Nevena Georgieva, put together a nice guide about where to start: http://bit.ly/bc_new. That may help you.
We mostly stick to topics about writing in the discussion forums. From your profile, it looks like you're working on a narrative about this topic. Are you looking for help on how to develop this character?
Best, Brandi Book Country Director

I would say you write what you know, who you know. I can write in the voice of a Gay Man because his character is so well defined...I 'know' him. I know where he was born, his mother, his school, on and on so that I can see from his eyes.
It takes time; it is not like you wake up in the morning and pull on your character...
