Hi all! I am curious to hear your take on pronouns. I try not to use too many of them but referring to someone by name over and over again can get a little repetitive too. How do you strike the right balance?

Read it aloud! That's my answer for almost everything and my secret trick for cleaning up my writing, fiction and nonfiction alike.
I don't see an y major problem with pronouns per se, as long as the antecedents are clear to the reader. And in that case, reading it aloud to an interested listener is even better than mere reading aloud.
I read all my work to my partner at some late stage of revision. She enjoys it and I can hear my language and tidy it up as I go.
