Short Paragraphs

Yesterday I printed my first draft on paper. My writing style is to use many short paragraphs. I find this handy with business communications and blogging, but am not sure it translates well to novels.

Opinions? Are short paragraphs unpleasant for the average reader?

How short are we talking about?

For me personally, it all depends on how it flows, honestly, and how organized the ideas are within their paragraphs. I'll use short paragraphs occasionally, like to emphasize a momentous decision or realization a character's come to.  A work written mostly in short paragraphs...I'm not sure without looking at it.

I think it would be worthwhile to see an excerpt from your work before we weigh in. I can think of famous authors who have written really short paragraphs with lots of dialog and I can think of others who have write half-page paragraphs every single time. So I think it really depends on your style and if it flows well as is. Also, is each paragraph a single sentence, or are we talking short as in 1-3 sentences?
