Show not tell - Part 1

Well, this is excellent. I would love it if you would also discuss the 'Intrusive Author'. I do a good deal of explaining, and also butting in, correcting falsehoods that my goofballs have spouted. My thing embraces nineteenth/early twentieth century tendencies, mingled with my own point of view. Some refer to my style as the 'Mimi Voice', entertaining but somewhat annoying, my story arc MIA much of the time. I (naturally) disagree. About the annoying part.
