I know a fair number of folks here on Book Country are MFA grads or are currently in MFA programs. I thought it would be fun to start a thread so that we can see if any of us went to the same programs, and perhaps hear more about what it was like to do an MFA.

I graduated from the Fiction Writing program at the University of Iowa in 2011. Go, Iowa!

Lucy, I am excited to hear that you were in the writers' program at Iowa. I have questions that I'd like to ask you, as a student of writing at that level, but this may not be the place for them. My questions have to do with theory, I guess I'd call it. Are you up for that sort of thing?
