Easy. Not being able to turn off my imagination and say, enough

.

I'm reading Hopscotch now - it's marvelous! - and getting some dandy, absolutely divine nonsense (my German husband tells me that this delightfully bonkers thinking is based on fact, he knows of the odd behavior, which makes it even better) for a character that I've yet to write.

.

I'm also jotting new ideas for my MC, rambling reminiscence sparked by a line here, a word there, in the first person. The phrasing I've got has real charm, but my novel is third person omniscient. How will I reconcile the two approaches? Perhaps a first person preface by an aged animal, introducing his life story. Or, I rethink and restructure, and work it in another way.

.

I would say my biggest fear as a writer is that there will simply never be enough time to really do it.

That's actually why I am doing NaNoWriMo--to prove to myself that there IS enough time. You have to make the time!!

Happy Halloween!
