Obviously, I love erotic romance at the minute, but I've read widely. I love all sorts of stuff, from Sylvia Day to James Joyce. I think eclectic is the word. Where writing is concerned, I had a short story published by Virago when I was about 18. I then got into writing television scripts for a while and submitted a couple to the BBC. They couldn't do anything with them, but I was invited to talk to a script editor. Like the idiot I was in my youth, I never went! I then wrote a children's book in my early 20s. Life took over for a while, and then 3 years ago I started writing again. The Broughton Trilogy came first (and caught the attention of an agent, but nothing came of it in the end). Then I discovered erotic romance! I haven't submitted You Don't Know Me widely. A reader at an agency enjoyed my submission but couldn't find an agent willing to represent. It was then that I decided to just self-publish and get on with finishing the trilogy.
