Short Bio:

Edward Dean is my pen name. I'm from Detroit, living in Pittsburgh, working as a software engineer by day. Born in 1967 and I've been writing since I was a kid. 12 years ago I started to take it more seriously and enrolled in the Long Ridge Writers course called "Breaking into Print." I was paired up with author Mary-Ann Tirone Smith, author of the memoir Girls of Tender Age (fabulous book by the way), and really started to work on my craft. I got some great feedback while working with Mary-Ann and started to find my voice. I came pretty close to getting a few short stories published, however, life got in the way and I went back to school to finish other degrees and I stopped writing. Last summer I got the itch again, and since I no longer had homework to do, I started writing a novel.
