I strive to keep my writing simple, supple, and strong. I dislike attributives. He said, she said, work just fine. I tend to write like tidal erosion: I surge forward, then seep back and polish. I don't make great headway, but given time I can carve canyons through stone.
I like gallows humor and applying as much pressure as possible to my characters.
I'd written plenty of screenplays (few of them ever read and only two produced), and have recently completed my first novel, Welcome Gamblers.
I have end stage cancer to thank for robbing me of, among other things, excuses.
