Having Rheumatic Fever as a child forced me to be inactive and so I read voraciosly - but not "girly" books. I read all the novels of Horatio Hornblower, and historical non-fiction like "Indian Captive." . As an adult I prefer anthologies, a great detective book without the profanity, and even young adult books which can be great reads - at least I can figure out the plot which can be elusive in some adult books. Attending a local community college in the early 1990's forced me to write but it awakened a "light bulb" moment. The desire to write became urgent and more focused at the dawn of a new century. I write about my experiences, some outrageously funny while others are more introspective. Life gives us opportunity to learn about oneself. In 2009, 47 yrs after graduating at the bottom of my class in high school, I discovered, quite by accident, that I have Dyscalculia, which answered the unanswered questions. And so the journey continues .
