Gretchen Duling, Ph.D., has always been deeply involved in local and regional history and is a published author in a variety of genres. She grew up in the small Ohio River town of Gallipolis, Ohio, which was settled by aristorcrats fleeing their country and the guillotine during the French Revolution. Lafayette visited Gallipolis in 1825 on his final return visit and tour of the United States as Guest of the Nation. He also visited Fort Niagara, Youngstown, NY., where Gretchen now lives. Her book about Otto Herboth, a German POW titled "A Legacy of Mutual Trust" was published by Old Fort Niagara Assoc 2009. In retirement she has finally completed a regional historical fiction book for YOUTH .She worked with a design company, editing/proofing, etc. are complete. She is independently self-publishing a book titled: The Journey of the French Coat. Gretchen needs advice and help in how to distribute the book which will go to print in a week.
