I live in an historic house in the beautiful and quirky town of Mobile, AL, and enjoy the usual stuff like gardening, reading, hanging out, eating, drinking, chasing squirrels out of the walls and creating the occasional knitted scarf. I also dabble in Shaolin Kung Fu, which is probably the only purposeful exercise I get.
I write under the pen name of Angela Quarles (Quarles being an old family name from waaaay back) and have a B.A. in Anthropology and International Studies with a minor in German from Emory University, and a Masters in Heritage Preservation from Georgia State University. I was an exchange student to Finland in high school and participated in Emory's Study Abroad program in Vienna my junior year. I love visiting other countries, but do not get to indulge in it very often.
