Since picking out Ursula K. LeGuin's "A Wizard of Earthsea" off of the shelves in my middle school library, my love for reading through the vehicle of the fantasy genre sent me spiraling down the rabbit hole of my imagination. With my father's influence came hand me down Tom Swift novels, and thus science fiction made its way onto the scene. I tend to stay in these two realms, though I do enjoy anything that has to do with a historical period. Due to my profession, I have been dipping into the landscape of Young Adult novels so I can keep up with what my students are reading.
I have had ideas for stories since high school, and it hasn't been until recently that I took to actually writing them down. At the urging of a close friend who read one of my short stories, I have started a full novel project.
