I live between two wildlife preserves, one 10, 000 acres, one 700 acres. They're dense Florida hammock, which means you don't want to wander too far from the trails. It's easy to imagine going in and never coming out. Which is a little like pursuing a career in advertising. Once you get in it's hard to get out.
After creating several thousand brochures and catalogs, hundreds of logotypes and too many Powerpoints to remember, I decided writing genre fiction would be infinitely more enjoyable than writing advertising copy. So here I am.
Some of what I write is experience-based. By quirks of fate, time and place, I’ve run into many violent, criminal, sociopathic and occasionally homicidal characters. Most of them were otherwise unremarkable and good social chameleons, as unpredictable in life as they are in fiction.
I confess to a degree in English from St. Lawrence University and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communication from Rollins College.
