Hecht has been writing for many years in a variety of formats. "Cat & Mouse" is his latest -- a fictional dark tale (tail? cat or mouse? [humor]) of the impact of marital infidelity and the thirst for revenge by the wronged spouse. It's now averaging 4.7 stars on Amazon.com, and the reviews range from "can't put it down" to "plot hooks that won't let you out." (Caution: The tale does have some unexpected twists and turns.)
Hecht has also just completed a non-fiction work featuring a fictional introductory segment segueing into an exploration of the popular Christian beliefs about the Rapture. Hopefully, a local graphic artist will have the cover completed shortly, and publication will happen soon thereafter.
Hecht has an eclectic reading interest, including everything from the morning cereal box to authors such as Robert Ludlam and Anne Rivers Siddons to the Bible. He especially likes historical fiction and spy novels.
