I read eclectically, books for historic research, spirituality and Judaica classes I teach, classic and new children's books, engrossing mysteries, gorgeous picture books. Often I read to inspire or avoid writing! I just completed mss for first of a series of middle grade novels involving spunky characters who use their smarts and time travel talents to bring lessons/artifacts of past to present dilemmas. As a parent of two sons, one with autism, I'm sympathetic to quirky "outsiders" and will some day write about Z-J, my amazing, unique son. I wrote Stress-proofing Your Child, and teach moms to do so. I've written picture book stories with spiritual and Jewish themes; one's about a super Sabbath Queen character. To nurture works in progress, I joined a children's writing critique group, and facilitate a writing and meditation group. As an optimist persevering in the face of "publishers' gloom, " I seek the right agent/editors to create prosperous partnerships and projects.
