I did my graduate work in anthropology and folklore, which makes me useless for just about anything except writing. I live and write in a dilapidated beach bungalow outside of San Francisco, near a horse trail, a troll bridge, and a raptor preserve (hopefully, the veloci- variety). In addition to working as a content coordinator in economics and biology for an academic press, I do freelance fiction editing. Most recently, I edited Allison Moon's LUNATIC FRINGE (!Lesbian Werewolves!). I write what I like to call "critical theory fanfic, " which allows me to explore my obsessions with liminality, gender, and foxes. I'm currently shopping around my first novel, a pulp adventure fantasy that's rather like Big Trouble in Little China meets The Shadow. I'm hard at work on my second novel, a Venetian Renaissance city fantasy. I can be found online at www.teleidoplex.com.
