About my reading and writing? Oh! Is this the place where I brag about how many big and important books I have read? Because I have read very many big and important books, let me tell you! The entire Western Canon, I'd say, as well as some of the Eastern and the Northern Canons, though I found the Southern Canon to be a bit dull as it mainly involves records from the seventies when scientists attempted to teach emperor penguins how to write sonnets. Turns out the scientists' papers were very dull and the penguins' work demonstrated considerable overuse of Petrarchan conceit, but I did learn that penguins have over fifty-three thousand words for "fish"! Pretty remarkable, if you ask me. I do have a selection of my favorite penguin-sonnets in one of my many leather-bound tomes at my home office. Oooh... such a lovely phrase! "Leather-bound tomes".
