I read a little bit of everything from Jane Austen to Isaac Aasimov. Mostly science fiction and fantasy, but I take breaks between series for some non-fiction and more classically 'literary' works.
My writing started after browsing through the Zombie Survival Guide. In walking around the city I began to try and identify buildings and spots that would be an ideal shelter or defense point.
I know I'm not the first one to come up with this idea, but I began to wonder what would happen if zombies emerged in a world that had actually seen the works of George Romero.
Instead of setting a zombie novel in the usual bleak, post-apocalyptic setting with survival being the only goal I decided to set up a scenario where the stakes were lower for humanity at large, but still compelling for the heroes of the story.
Most zombie stories are about the horrors that mankind inflicts on each other. This one is different.
