Having moved around all my life, books have been loyal companions from an early age. I used to read anything that crossed my path; now that my time is crimped by having to earn a living, I try to be more selective. Reading materials now consist mainly of thrillers and mysteries, classics, and nonfiction. But I'll still read just about any genre so long as the writing is good. I began writing fiction 18 months ago and quickly realized It's an addiction. Writing also provides an unexpected bonus--it gives me a reason to talk to people I wouldn't otherwise meet as I do my research.
