If I could crawl into the head of one author, I'd explore the mind of Tom Clancy. The research he does is overwhelming, and his plots challenge my active imagination. My reading interests are broad, ranging from Tolkien to Patterson. My short stories cross genres. My novels are Thrillers. I've won a few Thriller competitions at Writers Conferences. I placed 8th in the 2011 Writer's Digest Short Story Competition, and I have two novels ready for publication with three others being layered. I don't write happy endings. I write encouraging endings where the protagonist can see the way to happiness, if . . . My protagonists are flawed people, some not at all likeable when first introduced. The reader may find the antagonist is more likeable than the protagonist when they first meet him. Strong female personalities and political/psychological themes run through my work. The side you are on may turn out to be the wrong side. "There is no right or wrong. There is only win or lose."
