Jodi, as she is knows to friends, has previously been published as a travel writer and journalist, is a former staff writer for Banderas News, Examiner.com, and a contributor to V!VA Travel and other travel journals. After living in Puerto Vallarta for twelve years she has found that writing about Mexico is not just inspired by the colorful people, their customs and creative perspectives but the desire to explore misunderstandings and misconceptions that exist on both sides of the border. She is an avid poet and is currently working on her second novel, Carlos at the Broken Arms, while she awaits publication of her first, Seven Waves. Jodi was a finalist in the 77th Writer's Digest Writing Competition Poetry Category with My Angel Fell. She is excited to give NaNoWriMo her best shot.
