I have been an omnivorous reader since the fourth grade. I have been writing poetry since High-school, and have had numerous articles published, both on-line and in print. "Spun Yarn from the Bosun's Locker" is a collection of sea stories mostly based on my personal experiences, which began when I became a commercial fisherman on the Washington Coast at the age of thirteen. (as I am now seventy-four, that covers quite a spell)
As a nuclear veteran (Operation Redwing, Bikini Atoll, 1956) who survived radiation poisoning, I have been quite active in both anti-war writing and anti-nuke. Chernobyl fortified my resolve and Fukushima has cast it in steel. As Einstein once said, "Nuclear fission is a hell of a way to boil water."
So, I write sea stories and short stories, have a couple of novels I address as time permits, generally enjoy this trade of writing, and would really like to be "discovered" someday and turn this from a hobby to a profession.
