Currently I'm on an urban fantasy binge with both reading and writing. I'm working on my first full length novel Unquiet Nights and busily devouring every UF book I can lay my hands on.
The getting my first rejection at the age of four thing is true my father is a writer too and he was working with Random House when i expressed a desire to write my first novel. I hammed a keyboard for what felt like forever (six minutes) occasionally throwing in the few words I knew how to spell (apparently one of them was 'wizard') and sent it off. A month later I got back an amazingly nice letter from Random House suggesting I learn to read and write first, and then resubmit.
