The genre I write is never stable. Everything I writes is a new genre, for now. General fiction, humour, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, historical fiction, mystery.
I've still got thriller and crime to go, but I doubt they'll work out too well.
I read my first novel when I was six. From then on, Hermione Granger was my idol.
I won my first writing competition when I was eight, for Naidoc Week. It was about a sun god, and the illustrations were awful.
My first book was about my best friend getting eaten by a shark. She didn't like that too much, and it never got past 10k.
My first (and so far only) professional (sorta) publication was in Teen Ink for a poem inspired by Zombie by the Cranberries.
I think I sound a lot more accomplished when it's all written down here.
