As a storyteller, I like to write suspenseful thrillers, combining mystery with character-driven plot structure, in hopes that those who read will be constantly entertained by having to guess the next move or clue. Often times, I tend to utilize 'underdog' characters that appear very normal yet must rise to the occasion so as to engage the imagination of the average reader, leaving them with the impression that they could easily be starring in my tale. It's very likely, that when you read one of my stories, you won't need a thesaurus handy, as I don't use one when I write them.
As a youngster in the sixties, I would become enthralled by the works of writers such as Robert Louis Stevenson, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Charles Dickens. As I aged, I began to embrace mystery and suspense writers such as Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle.
