I am currently working on a novel that I originally wrote as a one act play and had it performed as a staged reading at Marygrove College in Detroit. It would be considered historical fiction, and it is about the last days of Hastings St. in Detroit--A little Harlem-like, Beale St. that thrived with music and culture before being suspiciously torn down to make Interstate 75. You may have even driven over the ghosts and the memories that lurk below the tar and cement. As for my reading I am a thesis shy of an M.A. in English, so I have read extensively and prefer American Realism, Modernistic American Lit., Romanticism, and Shakespeare, to name a few.
