I have produced scores of short pieces for local newspapers and magazines, mostly history, and wrote an 800-page local history, Bethesda A Social History, that sold very well. I have self published one long novel, Seth, with one of those print-on-demand firms, which I think was a mistake, and am faced with the problem of disappearing small bookstores and the fact that B&N will not stock my fiction although it sold the history very well. I have also co-authored a local picture history and written a county history for 4th graders, soon to be published. My reading is mostly history and biography with a bit of mystery now and then, like that girl with the dragon tattoo, Flashman and the sea-going swahbucklers.
