I have been an avid reader since the first time the nuns placed a Dick and Jane reader into my hands when I was in the first grade at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School in Las Cruces, New Mexico. From the time I learned how to read, I entered a world of words, characters and settings that spoke to my soul.
I was still in elementary school when I realized I wanted to write books. I wrote stories in school as a part of school assignments; where my classmates were writing of imaginary animals that created their own linguistic rules, I was dreaming up characters who found themselves confronting struggles and challenges. While I didn’t place fingers to keyboard until a few years ago, that dream never left my heart.
Instead, I took my experiences, travels and past career, and stored them in my mind and heart. I have met many people who have made an impact on who I am today – both bad and good.
I have ideas for books I want to write, and I hope I have time to write them all!
