In the last two years, Tom Kepler has self-published a young adult novel, Love Ya Like a Sister, and a small book of poetry, Bare Ruined Choirs.
He is seeking a literary representation for his next novel, a fantasy titled The Stone Dragon. However, at the clamoring of his students, he will self-publish the fantasy novel himself if a traditional publishing contract is not forthcoming. He has also written a sequel to The Stone Dragon, a novel called Dragons of Blood and Stone.
In addition to writing, Tom Kepler's goal for the last couple of years has been to establish an online platform which includes a blog and pages for his writing projects. Publishing his books was a means to his goal of learning about publishing and marketing. As a teacher, he knows that one learns best by doing. That learning has also included social media marketing and e-books.
