About Susan Arscott's Reading & Writing

I am an equal opportunity reader - nothing is out of bounds but I have a passion for 18th Century British Fiction and British mysteries. Such fun. I also enjoy historical fiction and nonfiction, especially Europe between 1000 and 1250. I spent 15 years writing grants, case statements and pretty much anything else that might raise a buck for nonprofits but much prefer fiction -- it's a lot more fun. My fiction writing began with screenplays but after realizing my total lack of edginess I moved to adult fiction. A few months ago I started a YA novel and have fallen in love with genre. I am currently attending Spalding University Limited Residency Program, with a focus on YA fiction.
