I have recently begun experimenting with alternate history, but as a die-hard Lord of the Rings fan, high fantasy will always be my favorite.
That being said, I will read just about any book I can get my hands on, because reading is like breathing to me.
At heart, I think I am a poet and a word lover, so my fiction is always infused with poesy. Perhaps that makes me sentimental, or perhaps it makes me literary.
I am currently working on a number of projects: an alternate history/fantasy/sci fi that I would like to submit to Asimov's Magazine someday; an Arthurian epic where a graduate student slips through a book into Camelot and ends up becoming her own ancestress; and a traditional sword and sorcery novel where the heroine embarks on a quest to save her two sisters and her own soul.
