I tend to go for unusual left field writers who question everything and write about unusual subjects, challenge trends, the literary elite. No time for sheep and pulp fiction that never goes beyond the template. Literature should be a live dynamic, constantly exploring new directions, alternative approaches. Not a production line for crass product.
I first began writing poetry and short stories at school, then university but mainly through subsequent life experience. My poetry has been published in poetry magazines and more recently in six book compilations by United Press. My ambition is have a volume of poetry, short stories and novels published.
My work will appeal to those fascinated by intrigue and lateral thinking. It's central theme tends to rotate around finding the self and rejecting dogma. I have tried to develop a distinctive voice to set the work apart in an already overcrowded market. I want to get its broader message out into a wider audience, to make people think.
