I have extremely eclectic reading tastes-everything from Euripides' Medea to Haruki Murakmi's The Wind-Up Bird Chonicle, from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice to Alexander McCall Smith's The Number One Ladies' Detective Agency.
In grad school I wrote literary short stories, but I have moved on to the mystery/thriller genre. I am part way through a novel about an American woman on the lam in Mallorca. Living illegally on the island, she is forced to take whatever work is offered. Because of her precarious situation, she becomes mired in a deadly feud between two powerful landowners bent on getting their own ruthless way.
