I will read almost anything, but if I don't like it, I won't hesitate to donate it and never crack the cover again. I get easily hooked on butt-kicking characters who are self-deprecating, trouble-making, and who invariably end up in a mess of trouble. Preferably with magic involved. (Because that's what I love to write.)
My WIP is about a sassy supernatural pretending to be a human librarian until she's forced to confront her past to save an innocent. Before she returns to her father’s mafia-like compound, Soledad agrees to courier a mysterious parcel for her goblin boss. Just as she begins to reconnect with family and finds new romance, Soledad discovers that the parcel she is carrying contains a legendary black magic spellbook that threatens to destroy everything. Soledad thinks that the spellbook is the prize, but a betrayal at the heart of her family reveals something much more sinister: the book is merely bait, and behind it lurks a far more menacing force that is stalking her.
