Morgana’s publications include multiple short stories in the anthologies Coasters (2009) and Undercurrents (2010). In 2010, she received the Reader’s Choice Award in the Sunshine Coast Literary Association’s Open Short Story Competition for Recoil. Her work is featured on the web in several sites, including that of Regional Writes, the Cooroy Library writer-in-residence programme.
Her influences include Angela Carter, Roald Dahl, Paul Bowles, Kim Wilkins and Stephen King, with a twist of William Burroughs.
When she needs a break from writing, she blogs at madammorgana.wordpress.com or edits the work of more than a dozen critique partners - leaving no time for the house, garden, chooks, dog or her two primary school-aged sons.
She vaguely remembers a time before she wrote - she spent her time napping and scribbling pictoglyphs in crayon.
