Since my last update, I've signed with the literary agency Kneerim & Williams (based in Boston, MA). The first book they'll assist me to sell is my narrative non-fiction history of the mink business - titled "Pelting Out: An American History of Fur". I've taken to calling this book an "investigative memoir", given my ancestry's unique connection to the subject matter. "Pelting Out" is actually a term used by those leaving this unique business, that still very much exists and in some ways is thriving like never before. This book also examines the animal rights activists, political players, fashion industry, and various cultural connections to the symbolism of fur. Future plans include pursuit of publication for my two completed novels ("Return Control Delete" and "Locus Rising"). Both are contemporary, stand-alone examples of what I choose to call "Seattle noir".
I prefer to read a wide swath of everything, often in a chair within view of the Olympics (the Mountains, not the Event).
