I've been interested in writing since age six or so, when I wrote, illustrated and stapled my first "book, " which was called "Freddy the Freindly Butterfly". Misspelling was completely unintentional. I also reversed my b's, d's and 3's for . . . a long long time. It only got worse in Junior High when I had nothing but trouble with my best friend Cherly's name. But I'm proud to say I was NOT the one who spent weeks in crafts class woodburning "I love you BRAIN" for my boyfriend "Brian". I noticed the mistake, but my friend decided to go ahead and give him the wood plank anyway. Everyone needs a good wood plank.
Ray Bradbury, a favorite author, often said that we should come to the stories we tell as little children, full of wonder.
I agree.
