Olaf Kroneman is a physician and writer whose fiction is influenced and motivated by the courage and endurance of the patients he attends. After 25 years, he has many stories to tell. His work is directly culled from personal experiences and the behind-the-curtain workings of the American health care system.
Kroneman was born in Detroit and received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He obtained post-graduate training at the Mayo Clinic, the University of Virginia, and a Harvard appointment to the Massachusetts General Hospital and has boards in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Nutrition.
Kroneman's work has appeared in numerous publications, and his story “The Recidivist” won the Writer’s Digest short story contest for popular fiction. Notably, Kroneman was recently nominated for the 2011 Pushcart Prize.
When not practicing medicine or writing, he is obsessed with his wonderful family, golf, and his Reverend electric guitar.
