I'm an avid reader of all genre fiction. I cut my teeth on Edgar Rice Burroughs's adventures and Zane Grey westerns, visited all Ray Bradbury's strange imaginings, and overdosed on cheap paperbacks my father purchased by the box at yard sales. In college, majoring in English Literature let me read classics with particular emphasis on the 18th century. Since then, I've continued to read several books a week. I especially enjoy fast pace books like those written by Jim Butcher or Sue Grafton interspersed with epics Dan Simmons, Robin Hobb or George R.R. Martin write. My pet peeve is starting a series that isn't finished, since I'm not a patient reader, but I make exceptions if enough people talk about how good a series is. My own writing is similarly varied. I've written and podcast a science-fiction novel. I have a horror novel waiting for publishing, and a collection of fantasy, sci-fi and horror short stories.
